remodeling a kitchen?
here is a step by step guide on how we take your kitchen from
"meh" to "wow!"
🧼 Step 1: Kickoff Walkthrough & Demo Day
We start with a full walkthrough to go over:
•Your layout, selections, and schedule
•Site access, work hours, and how we’ll protect the rest of your home
Then we carefully demo:
•Cabinets, counters, backsplash, flooring, appliances
•Walls or soffits (if needed for layout changes)
We clean up as we go, and haul everything out daily.
👷 If walls or structure are changed, a framing inspection may be required.
🔧 Step 2: Plumbing, Electrical & Mechanical Rough-Ins
Behind the walls, we:
•Move or upgrade plumbing and drain lines
•Run wiring for appliances, outlets, lighting, and switches
•Adjust HVAC or venting as needed
📋 Inspections: Required for plumbing, electrical, and mechanical.
🕒 Timing is usually confirmed day-of. You don’t need to be there — we’ll take care of it.
🧱 Step 3: Framing, Drywall & Paint
Once rough-ins are approved:
•We patch or build framing
•Install and finish drywall
•Texture, Prime and paint the walls and ceiling
📋 Drywall inspection may apply in some cities. We’ll handle scheduling.
🪵 Step 4: Cabinets
Now your kitchen starts to take shape.
We install your custom or semi-custom cabinets with care:
•Base and upper cabinets leveled, secured, and perfectly aligned
•End panels, trims, and moldings added
Note: We may leave the cabinet doors off during this stage. This helps prevent any damage while other trades are working and allows us to get the most important part — the cabinet boxes — installed and ready for countertop templating. This keeps your project moving smoothly and protects the finish work.
🧱 Step 5: Countertops & Backsplash
Once cabinets are in, we:
•Template for countertops
•Fabricate and install once ready (usually 1–2 weeks)
•Follow with backsplash tile and caulking
This is where design details really pop.
💡 Step 6: Fixtures, Appliances & Finishes
We complete the install with:
•Light fixtures, switches, outlets, under-cabinet lighting
•Plumbing for sink, faucet, dishwasher, and fridge
•Appliance hookups and testing
•Install toe kicks, hardware, and any remaining trim
Everything is double-checked for proper function and fit.
🏁 Step 7: Final Touches & Walkthrough
We finish strong with:
•Full cleanup — so it’s ready to enjoy
•Final inspections from the city
•A full walkthrough with you to check every detail
•A quick punch list (if needed) — and fast fixes
